INOWASIA internship student from SU (Southanouvong, Laos) at VNU-HUS (Hanoi, Vietnam) for removing synthetic dyes in water

Currently, the increase population, expansion of industrial plants and socio-economic development, water resources, water use and supply of clean water is a concern of the whole world, Water resources are dwindling, the availability and supply of clean water is a global concern. physico-chemical characteristics synthesis CoFe2O4 suing advanced materials possess immense prospect in water and wastewater treatment. During the internship within Water-oriented Living Lab of VNU-HUS for 3 months, where I will use magnetic Nano composites based on CoFe2O4/Biochar and application for removing synthetic dyes in water.

During 3 months I will focus on:

Testing the impact of different parameters CoFe2O4/biochar such as treatment time, pH of the solution, amount of nanomaterials and rability, biochar in water absorption

Research on the mechanism and kinetics of the degradation process.

Experimental:

I design procedure synthesis CoFe2O4 MNPs were prepared by the simple polyol method developed in our laboratory The reagents:

  • FeCl3 analytical grade
  • CoCl analytical grade
  • NaOH grade
  • Commercial biochar
  • Refluxed at controlled temperature of 210 °C for 3 hours in an oven.
  • XRD, SEM-EDX, BET, FT-IR, UV-Vis DRS…

Future plan:

  • Quantitative degradation of dyes in water was determined using a UV–Vis Spectrophotometer. Scan X-ray, FITR-for spectroscope.
  • Using p-benzoquinone and methanol to trap radicals, indicating reactive species for antibiotics degradation by CoFe2O4/Biochar system.

Study the impact of different parameters on antibiotics in water by CoFe2O4/biochar system.
