INOWASIA attracts 4 new APC members in September 2023
The #INOWASIA team is proud to announce that 2 HEIs and 2 private companies have chosen to become new APC members of INOWASIA group. The Institute of Agriculture from the University of Western Australia (#UWA) in Australia and the #RMIT University in Vietnam are the 2 HEIs to join us. The 2 private companies are from Europe: #IRIDRA from Italia and #WETCON Tecnologias Del Agua from Spain.
The Institute of Agriculture from the University of Western Australia is the first institute in Australia for Agricultural Sciences (ARWU, 2022) and the 15th in the world (ARWU, 2022). Their vision is to foster innovation and provide research-based solutions to food and nutritional security, environmental sustainability and agribusiness. The Institute works with the agricultural and natural resource sectors to create knowledge and improve workforce skills, contribute to local and regional prosperity, and exercise responsible stewardship of the environment.
RMIT is a global university of technology, design and enterprise, in the Top 150 of universities worldwide, with 90,000+ students from 194 different countries studying at RMIT, and 12,456 industry placements for students in 2022. RMIT Vietnam is based at Ho Chi Minh City. At RMIT, the teaching models are based on international best practice to ensure that students enter the workplace with the skills need to succeed. RMIT provides an industry-led and student-centred learning experience. They have implemented a teaching and learning strategy where traditional exams have been replaced by industry-relevant projects, and single-sourced textbooks by contemporary, multimedia resources.
IRIDRA is an engineering firm with twenty-year experience and interdisciplinary professionals, able to provide all the services in the field of planning, design and work supervision of works related to sustainable water management. Particularly, IRIDRA is nowadays recognized as a leading firm in the field of nature-based solutions (NBS) and green infrastructure (such as constructed wetland for wastewater treatment), sustainable drainage systems (SuDS), ecosystem services and climate change adaptation and mitigation in the water sector.
WETCON is specialized in constructed wetlands, offering a set of modern, economical and tailored solutions. Constructed wetlands are shallow lagoons or channels with aquatic vegetation that purify wastewater, naturally, following environmentally and economically sustainable processes and materials.
INOWASIA is an Erasmus + Capacity Building Higher Education project that promotes a joint action of 11 organisations across 5 countries (Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, France and Spain) to train a new generation of water professionals in Southeast Asia. More info
