Green Conference at NUBB, Cambodia

On 10-11 October 2022, the National University of Battambang (NUBB) hosted the national Green Conference entitled “Incorporating green concept in Cambodian higher education”, which aimed (i) to raise the green awareness of Cambodian higher education institutions toward the sustainable development goals (SDGs) and (ii) to strengthen development ecosystem between HEIs with the private sectors, government and NGOs to achieve SDG 2030. The conference was participated by 100 participants coming from different institutions, i.e. companies, NGOs, local government and academia. The conference was organized under the framework of capacity building project Erasmus+ Greencap. Dr. Ratha CHEA, dean of Graduate School at the National University of Battambang (NUBB) has been invited to give a plenary talk on Integration of green concept in Cambodian academic curricula, while Dr. Chea has underlined the key contribution of all Erasmus+ CHBE project, including INOWASIA project, in Cambodian academic curricula improvement, particularly at the NUBB.

The collaborative framework of Erasmus+ project contribute to improve not only the content of teaching, but also the transformation of traditional teaching method to modern competence based teaching, e.g. the integration of Problem Based Learning (PBL) approach at NUBB master curricula. The conference was finished by the fruitful round table discussion and the visit at local company with many future directions to university-industry to work together in order to achieve SDG 2030.
